what shoe size is 39

Wearing the wrong shoe size is a common problem for many people. It might seem like a small thing, but are any of these scenarios familiar to you?- Your shoes squeak when you walk- Your feet hurt after wearing them all day- They never stay on your feet because they're too big or too small- People are always telling you that your shoes don't fit rightIf so, then it's time to stop living in denial and take action! Changing the size of your shoes will solve most (but not all) of these problems.WHAT IS A SHOE SIZE?Shoe sizes are a way of identifying how large your feet are. They're measured in different ways, which can confuse people. The two most common ways are something called the 'U.S. system' and the 'Euro system'. The U.S system uses numbers, and the Euro system uses letters.SIZE IN NUMBERS (US)The US size of your shoes goes by number, and it's pretty easy to understand: the larger the number, the larger your shoe will be! People with slightly smaller feet may want to wear shoes that have a 'half-size', e.g., 7½ instead of 8, or 6½ instead of 7.SIZE IN LETTERS (EU)The Euro system is slightly harder to understand: the first letter indicates the width of the shoe, and the next number indicates how wide that part of the shoe will be by itself. Let's say you're a size 42. If you have a 'C' in front of your shoe size, then your shoes will be '42C'. A 'B' or 'D' means that your shoes are wider than most others, so they'll be more comfortable. An 'E' means that your shoes are even wider, and not many people find them comfortable to wear.HOW DO I MEASURE MY FEET?

Either way of measuring your feet involves a ruler or tape measure. If you decide to use the U.S. system, then you'll need to measure from the tip of your longest toe to the end of your heel, and add half an inch (or 2½ centimetres) to that figure: for example, if your longest toe is 3 inches long, and your heel is 1¾ inches long, then you will be a size 6 in the U.S. system. If you decide to use the EU system, then you'll need to measure your foot from the middle of your big toe (the one where you'd wear a size 6 ring) to the end of your heel. If you measured in centimetres, then add half a centimetre (or ¼ inch): for example, if that same toe is 4 centimetres long, and your heel is 1½ inches long, then you will be a size 42E in the EU system.HOW DO I CHANGE MY SHOE SIZE?The best way to find out what size of shoe you need is by visiting a store that sells shoes. Ask for some advice from an employee there. If they don't know what to suggest, ask them to measure your feet.- In the U.S. system (the wider, more common system), you'll need to buy shoes that are about one-third of a size bigger than the original ones that you bought. For example, if you wear a size 8, then you'd buy a size 8½ shoe in order to get enough room for your foot to walk comfortably.

- In the EU system (the narrower, less common system), you'll need to buy shoes that are about one-third of a size smaller than the original ones that you bought. For example, if you wear a size 42 in the U.S.
